Businesses get the corporate version of the same problem: positioning statements, brand pillars and strategy decks that sound polished but say very little. SJK Labs takes a different approach. I work as a narrative architect, using interviews, document analysis and pattern recognition to uncover the story, authority signals and positioning a person or business already has, but is not yet communicating clearly.
That process led me to develop The Scriptwriter Test™ — a framework for diagnosing why authority is not landing, where perception is breaking down and what needs to change for a person or company to become more clearly understood.
I trained as a journalist and have spent years interviewing people across music, culture, food and business — including Blur, Tim Minchin and Adrian Chiles. My work as both a PR professional and journalist has appeared across UK national titles and internationally in Bloomberg, Nikkei and Dazed & Confused. My podcast reached the Apple Music top 10.
I host PRception — a series exploring how attention becomes authority across markets, culture and real life — and I built Not Built For This, the product arm of SJK Labs, which creates low-friction digital tools for neurodivergent and high-functioning overwhelmed people.
I'm also a qualified fitness instructor and certified spin instructor. I've studied performance, presence and audience attention in multiple forms, including comedy, singing, live events and movement. None of that was accidental. I wanted to understand how attention is earned, held and converted into trust in real time. The same principles that keep a room are the ones that make a founder, expert or business get chosen.
I'm neurodiverse. The pattern recognition, systems thinking and refusal to accept that things have to be done the way they have always been done are not separate from the work. They are the work.
